Recreational Adaptive Basketball

Everyone is welcome to learn the basic skills and concepts of wheelchair sports. Our goal is teach and have players grow into their own, pushing them to learn and adapt to their disability!
​​​Within H.E.A.L.'s planning and activities, we prioritize developing more resources such as other sports for physically challenged athletes to have every tool and options to prosper!

These programs have been evolving since 2012. None of this would be possible without the strong leadership from the disabled community itself. It's always a privilege to be able to compete in the Northern California Recreational League. This has its rewards for our players that move up from the developmental program and get beneficial game-play against programs such as: Bay Outreach Recreational Programs (BORP), Shasta, Santa Rosa, Reno, San Jose, and of course, Fresno!). These athletes go through so much recovery and to be able to be introduced to compete against other players with similar disabilities is a unique experience in itself. The long-term goal is sustainable experiences for a unique plan to have a healthy programs for the disabled community!
